Pierre Boulianne has just completed six weeks of intense training at the San Francisco SPCA's Academy for Dog Trainer under the direction of Jean Donaldson. "It was probably the most intense six weeks of my life but the education and experience I received there was priceless".

Over the past four years Pierre has made a strong commitment to education involving animal training and behavior in order to better understand how to relate to pets in a boarding environment in an effort to try and minimize stress while at the kennels.

"Dr. Ian Dunbar was a great turning point when I started really getting into the nuts and bolts of training and he's the one that led me to the Academy in San Francisco".

All our interactions with our boarders here are based on positive reinforcement methods. As you can see with the photo above, food is the easiest and most efficient way to get a dog's attention even when you have several dogs that have never even met each other.

Prairieland hasn't officially started offering training as part of the business as of yet but Pierre is taking a few select clients when time permits.
